Everything you need to know about using LawpalAI.
LawpalAI is an AI legal assistant built for Nigerian law. Through a single chat interface, it helps you research legal questions, draft documents, and review contracts — grounded in an indexed library of Nigerian case law, statutes, and legal textbooks, not generic web knowledge. It's built for lawyers, judges, law students, and members of the public who need clear, well-sourced answers to legal questions.
Click 'Get Started' or 'Sign In' from the homepage. You can create an account with your email and a password, or sign in instantly with Google. Once verified, you're taken straight into the chat interface.
Yes. The Legal Explorer plan is free and lets you start using LawpalAI right away. Paid plans (Associate and Partner) unlock higher usage limits and additional features for people who rely on it daily. See the Billing & Plans section below for current pricing.
Three things, in one chat: legal research (ask a question and get an answer grounded in real Nigerian case law and statutes, with citations), document drafting (generate a first draft of an agreement, letter, or court process from your instructions), and document review (upload a document and get an analysis of its clauses, risks, and terms).
LawpalAI grounds its research and drafting in a real, indexed collection of Nigerian case law and statutes, and cites the authorities it relies on so you can verify them yourself. That said, it is a productivity and research tool, not a substitute for a licensed lawyer. For decisions with real legal consequences, always have a qualified attorney review the output. See our Disclaimer for the full picture.
Just a modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) and an internet connection. There's nothing to install. LawpalAI also works on mobile browsers, so you can pick up a conversation from your phone.
On the sign-in page, click 'Forgot password', enter the email address on your account, and you'll receive a reset link. If you originally signed up with Google, use that provider's sign-in button instead — there's no separate LawpalAI password to reset. New passwords (whether at signup or reset) need at least 8 characters with a mix of uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a special character — this is required for every account, to keep it harder to guess or break into.
